ICAR- CIWA organized National Training Programme on 'CAPACITY BUILDING OF FARMING WOMEN'

The ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture (ICAR-CIWA), Bhubaneswar organized a National Training Programme on 'Capacity Building of Farming Women’ during 16th to 20th March, 2015. The programme was sponsored by State Institute for Management in Agriculture (SIMA), Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. S. K. Srivastava, Director (Acting), ICAR-CIWA on 16th March, 2015. The programme was organized with the objective of strengthening the gender perspective in agricultural development, and for capacity building of about 22 extension officials of SIMA, NGOs and progressive farm women from Uttar Pradesh.
At the valedictroy function held on 20th March, 2015, Dr. Vishal Nath, Director, National Research Centre on Litchi, Muzaffarpur participated as Chief Guest and distributed Certificates and Course Compendium to the participants. The feedback given by the participants was very encouraging, as they were 'very much' satisfied with the course contents and training arrangments. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Abha Singh, Dr. J. Charles Jeeva and Smt. Tanuja, Scientists of ICAR-CIWA.
