Training of Master Trainers under PRERANA Project with Collaboration of Mahindra & Mahindra- PRADAN and ICAR-CIWA

One day training of Master Trainers was conducted on 12 April, 2018 under the externally funded PRERANA project entitled "Empowering Women Farmers through promotion of Gender Friendly Farm Equipment at ICAR-CIWA. A total of 14 masters trainers from different villages Koraput district and Mayurbhanj had participated. The program was inaugurated by Honourable Director ICAR-CIWA, Dr. S. K. Srivastava. He stressed the importance of the network formation with various partners like Mahindra and Mahindra, PRADAN, etc for furthering the cause of ICAR-CIWA, which is, empowering of farm women. The training was conducted in two sessions. In first session the participants were instructed on how to gather the data in the questionnaire regarding the status of farm mechanization, its knowledge and access. Sample questionnaire were filled by the participants as the part of exercise. The second session comprised of demonstration of the farm tools and implements. The participants were familiarized with the operation, repair and maintenance etc of tools. The training concluded with taking feedback from the trainees.
