ICAR- Central Institute for Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar displayed and disseminated technologies during the 65th All India Cooperative Week organized by Odisha Fisheries Cooperative Corporation Ltd (FISHFED), Bhubaneswar on 20th November 2018. Honorable Member of Parliament Shri Prasanna Kumar Patsani, Honorable Finance Minister Shri Sasibhusan Behera, and Honourable MLA Shri Priyadarshi Mishra inaugurated the function at Rabindra Mandap, Bhubaneswar. Innovative value added fish products like fish papad, prawn chutney powder, prawn pickle, organic manure from fish silage, fish hygienically dried in ICAR-CIWA rack dryer, women friendly technologies, drudgery reducing tools, gender sensitive extension models and literature developed by the Institute were displayed by ICAR-CIWA in the exhibition cum workshop organized on the occasion. Over 2000 numbers of Cooperators, fishers, fish farmers, women Self Help Groups and Officials participated in the programme. The queries raised by the visitors to the stall were efficiently answered by the ICAR-CIWA team consisting of Dr. Tanuja S and Shri Sanjay Kumar Behera. Other organisations like World Fish Centre, Malaysia, ICAR-CIFRI, ICAR-CIFA, Odisha Pisciculture Development Corporation, Department of Fisheries, Odisha etc also participated in the exhibition.
