ICAR-CIWA organized the Exposure Visit of thirty numbers of B.Sc. Final year Students from Sikkim University. The students were made aware about the globally unique institute "ICAR-CIWA" as the only institute worldwide, working for the cause of Women in Agriculture byensuring their Empowerment in Agriculture to realize enhanced Productivity and Sustainability. They were explained about the vision, mission and mandate of the Institute, thrust areas of research identified for research on Women in Agriculture and accomplished and ongoing research activities. As a part of visit to the experimental farm of the institute, they were exposed to various women friendly Horticulture models, Aqua-horticulture model, Integrated fish-duck-poultry-horticulture model, integrated banana cum fodder model, nutrition garden developed by the Institute for ensuring, nutritional & livelihood security and empowerment of Women farmers. They were also exposed to various women friendly farm tools and implements identified, assessed and refined by the Institute. The programme was co-ordinated by Ms. Ankita Sahu (Scientsit, Fruit Science) and Ms. Usha Rani Maradana (Technical Assistant) from ICAR-CIWA.
