Brain Storming Workshop at ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar (29 February, 2020)

ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar organized a Brain Storming Workshop on Development of Technology Museum and Gender Sensitization Micro-Lab under the project Engendering Agricultural Research and Extension through Gender Sensitization Technology Hub on 29th February, 2020. At the outset, Dr. Sabita Mishra, Principal Scientist and PI of the Project welcomed all the delegates and elaborated the purpose of the workshop. The Director of the Institute, Dr. Santosh Kumar Srivastava graced the occasion as Chief Guest. During his address, emphasized the potential of Technology Museum and Gender Sensitization Micro-Lab in the institute for sensitizing various stakeholders who work for the cause of women in agriculture. He advised that a blue print may be prepared as an out put of the workshop as well name  
of various tools, etc. should be spelled for inclusion in the EFC.The programme was attended by six experts viz: Dr B. N. Sarangi, retired Emeritus Scientist, ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar, Dr. Veenita Kumari, Joint Director,Gender Resource Centre, MANAGE, Hyderabad, Dr. Sandhya Shinoy, Principal Scientist, Extension Systems Management Division, NAARM, Hyderabad, Dr H. K. Dash, Principal Scientist, ICAR-IIWM, Bhubaneswar, Dr. P. K. Sahoo, Principal Scientist, ICAR-CIFA, Bhubaneswar, Dr. G.A.K. Kumar, Principal Scientist & In-Charge Head, Division of Social Science, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack from different National Institutes having long experience in the field of women in agriculture and development of museum and scientists and technical personnel of the institute. There was presentation by the project team and experts followed by whole day discussion on how to proceed for development of the museum and gender sensitization lab. The programme was coordinated by the PI of the Project Dr. Sabita Mishra with the other team members as Dr. L.P Sahoo, Dr. Ananta Sarkar and Ms. Gayatri Moharana.
