ICAR-CIWA observed the Vigilance Awareness Week-2021

As per the instruction of Central Vigilance Commission and Indian Council of Agriculture and Research, New Delhi, ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar observed the Vigilance Awareness Week-2021 from October 26th to 1st November, 2021 with a theme of 'Independent India @ 75: Self Reliance with Integrity'. Dr. Anil Kumar, Director, ICAR–CIWA administered the vigilance pledge to all the staff members and explained importance of the events. The Administrative Officer shared the information about house keeping activities of the institute. The scientists, administrative and technical staff of the Institute had participated in the pledge on 26.10.2021. Organized Gram Shabha on 27th October, 2021 in which Sarapanch had discussed about 'Transparency in Implementation of Government Aids / Schemes in Panchayat level'. For the staff of the institute, a Seminar Talk was organized on 'Good Governance through Preventive Vigilance' by Mr. V. Ganesh Kumar, Senior Administrative Officer of ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack on 29.10.2021. For more publicity and sensitization among citizens, messages on Vigilance Awareness Week-2021 were transmitted through Whatsapp, ICAR CIWA Facebook and Twitter and a hand out on '"Key Points to Know" was shared with the staff members. The activities like Debate and Quiz competitions were organized for the staff on 28th October, 2021 and 1st November, 2021 respectively. The valedictory function was conducted on 1st November, 2021 in which the Vigilance Officer had highlighted the importance of integrity of an individual for development of a nation and for eradication of corruption. The winners of various competitions were awarded Certificates during the celebration. The Vigilance Awareness Week-2021 was coordinated by Dr. Sabita Mishra, Principal Scientist and Vigilance Officer of ICAR-CIWA.
