A meeting of the Quinquennial Review Team (QRT) was held on 25-26 March 2017 to review the achievements of ICAR-CIWA and AICRP on Home Science. The QRT meeting was chaired by Dr. P Das, Chairperson QRT and Ex-DDG (Ag. Ext.) and attended by members: Dr. Mehtab S. Bamji, Director Grade Scientist, National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad, Dr. Vinita Sharma, Ex-Head, SEED Division, DST, New Delhi, Dr. Ratna Tewari, Professor & Head, Department of Extension Education, SNDT Women's University and Dr. V P Chahal, Member Secretary and Assistant Director General (Ag. Ext.), ICAR, New Delhi. The Director ICAR -CIWA Dr. Jatinder Kishtwaria, Scientists of the Institute and Technical Co-ordinators of AICRP (Home Science) also attended the meeting. A detailed presentation on the achievements of the Institute was made by the Director ICAR-CIWA followed by presentations on individual components of Home Science by the Technical Co-ordinators. The Committee discussed in detail the achievements of the Institute and also reviewed the progress of work made by AICRP centres during XII Plan period. The QRT members also reviewed the projects proposed to be taken up during 2017-2020 and made valuable suggestions. The meeting ended with thanks to the chair and members QRT and all associated with the meeting.
