The Brainstorming Workshop on Road Map of ICAR-CIWA & AICRP on Home Science was held on 14 September, 2017 at NASC, New Delhi. The meeting was chaired by Dr. P. Das, Former DDG (Ag. Extn.), ICAR & Chairman, QRT of ICAR-CIWA. Dr. N.S. Rathore, DDG (Ag. Edn.) and Dr. A.K. Singh, DDG (Ag. Extn.), ICAR graced the occasion as guests of honour.

At the outset, Dr. Jatinder Kishtwaria welcomed the Chairperson and other participants in the meeting, and presented a highlight on research achievements and future perspectives of the Institute. Dr. V. P. Chahal, ADG (Ag. Extn.), Dr. P.S. Pandey, ADG (EP&HS.), Dr. Vinita Sharma, Chairperson, RAC of ICAR-CIWA, and six experts from different organizations across the country participated in the workshop and deliberated on preparing the road map for ICAR-CIWA and AICRP on Home Science. The experts complimented the Institute for its continuous up gradation, and the good work done for awakening the policy makers on gender issues. It was suggested to carry out impact assessment of gender sensitization programmes carried out so far. There is a need for reorienting or re-envisioning the research projects, with strong methodological background and future linkages for scaling, work of the research outputs. The meeting ended with vote of thanks by Dr. P.S. Pandey, ADG (EP&HS).
