Scientific Review by Hon'ble Deputy Director General (Education) at ICAR-CIWA

Dr. Narendra Singh Rathore, Deputy Director General (Education) Division of Agricultural Education, ICAR, New Delhi visited ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar on 19 June, 2018 and reviewed the research progress and achievements of the institute. The meeting was attended by Dr. S.K. Srivastava, Director and all the Scientists of ICAR-CIWA. At the outset, Director welcomed the DDG and other participants to the meeting. He thanked the DDG for his continued support to ICAR-CIWA by way of providing his valuable inputs to make the research projects more effective and guidance for development of the Institute.

Dr. Rathore, in his opening remarks, emphasized that, being a National level Institute, ICAR-CIWA should take up projects with National Perspective. He advised the Scientists to focus on research priorities keeping in mind the welfare of farm women. This was followed by the presentation of the Research Achievements of the Scientists, which was critically reviewed by the DDG, who offered valuable and constructive suggestions for increasing the visibility of the institute at the global level. He also stressed upon the responsibility and accountability of the scientists for the problem solving research programme for the farm women.   The meeting ended with formal vote of thanks by Dr. A.K. Panda, Nodal Officer, PME Cell.
