Interaction Meeting for envisioned future synergies between ICAR-CIWA and NIF-India

An Interaction Meeting between ICAR-CIWA and National Innovation Foundation-India (NIF) was organized on 22.5.2019 at 10.30 AM at the institute to discuss the envisioned future synergies between NIF and CIWA. National Innovation Foundation –India (NIF)- is an Autonomous Body of Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India to strengthen the grass root innovations and outstanding traditional knowledge by recognizing, respecting and rewarding grass root technological innovators.
On the occasion, Dr. S. K. Srivastava, Director (Acting) of the institute extended a warm welcome to NIF Team and briefed about the activities of the Institute and highlighted the role of the CIWA to empower the women farmers. Dr. Arun Kumar Panda, Principal Scientist & SIC, PME Cell made a presentation on the salient achievements of the institute. Dr. Smita Kaul Sharma, Scientist F, National Innovation Foundation-India also made a presentation about the foundation. During the meeting, the future synergies to strengthen the collaborative research efforts between ICAR-CIWA & NIF were discussed for benefitting the farm women. The meeting ended with vote of thanks.
