ICAR-CIWA organised Skill based Capacity building programme and distribution of Agricultural inputs to Women SC farmers @ Bharat ki Azadi ka Amrit Mahostav

ICAR-CIWA organised skill based capacity building programme under the project "Development of women entrepreneurship in Livestock and fisheries sector for promoting gender equity and strengthening livelihood" in the post COVID scenario at Chief District Veterinary Office conference hall, Jajpur, Odisha on 29th October 2021 following COVID guidelines. The farm women were appraised about scientific poultry and goat farming for higher income and livelihood improvement through entrepreneurship mode. Various inputs and women friendly agricultural tools and implements i. e. garden hoe, spade, bill hook, rose can, crow bar, bucket, milk cane with strainer, sickle, tip hoe, mineral mixture and battery sprayer etc. were demonstrated and distributed to fifty farm women under SCSP programme in the presence of Dr P. Dash, CDVO, Dr S. Panda, SDVO and Dr J. R. Mohanty, Veterinary Officer. The programme was coordinated by Dr A. K. Panda and Dr B. Sahoo with technical support of Sh. M. Prusty and Mrs. T. Sahoo. The programme was organised as a part of Bharat ki Azadi ka Amrit Mahostav to commemorate 75 years of India's independence. About 80 participants including farm women involved in Goatery and poultry farming FPOs and NGOs attended the programme.
