The live telecast of address by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi on "Zero Budget Natural farming" during Pre-Vibrant Gujarat Summit was organised on 16 December 2021 at ICAR-CIWA. Bhubaneswar. The programme was attended by around 150 participants including farmers, farm women and staff of ICAR-CWA, Bhubaneswar. The programme was also attended virtually by 300 farmers of the adopted villages under MGMG through the link https://pmindiawebcast.nic.in. In his address the Hon’ble Prime Minister highlighted the successful adoption of natural farming in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh and urged the nation’s farmers to return to their roots through adoption of natural farming. Dr Anil Kumar, Director, ICAR-CIWA, in his address, stressed on the importance of zero budget farming and advised the mass adoption of the farming method for sustainability of Indian agriculture. The live telecast was followed by a Scientist farmer interface in which the queries related to natural farming was addressed to by experts from ICAR-CIWA. The farm women were also given an exposure visit of ICAR-CIWA farm, workshop and ergonomics laboratory to learn about the various technologies/models, tools and implements on display.
