ICAR-CIWA participated in the Eastern Region Krishi Mela organized by Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa, Samastipur (Bihar)

Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agriculture University, Pusa, Samastipur, Bihar organised Eastern Region Krishi Mela from 12th March 2022 to 14th March 2022.The theme of Krishi Mela was “Entrepreneurship Development through Monetization of Agricultural Waste”. ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar participated in this and put up a stall to display the exhibits of models of different technologies, Literatures, Posters for demonstrating some technologies of ICAR-CIWA by the team lead by Dr. D.N. Sarangi and Er. Subrat Kumar Das. In the Krishi Mela abot 175 stalls from six states participated. Dr R C Srivastava, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, RPCAU, PUSA, Bihar with Dr M S Kundu, Director Extension Education, RPCAU, PUSA, Bihar visited our Institute stall during the Krishi Mela and appreciated ICAR-CIWA works in technological developments, research activities, extension work etc., since inception of the Institution. About thousands of visitors like agriculture Students, Scientists, Farmers, Farmwomen, Social activists, Experts from other fields and non-agriculture students visited ICAR-CIWA stall during the Krishi Mela. About 10,000 visitors visited the Krishi Mela. ICAR-CIWA stall was awarded the Third prize in State University/ ICAR institute category. The Krishi Mela was graced by the presence of dignitaries Dr. Anjani Kumar (Director ICAR-ATARI, Zone IV, Patana), Dr. R.G. Laha (Joint Director ICAR-Research Complex for NEH Region, Sikkim), Dr. R.C.Srivastava ( Vice- Chancellor RPCAU), Dr. M.S. Kundu (Director Extension Education RPCAU) and Dr. A.K Singh, DDG (Agril. Extension), ICAR.
