ICAR-CIWA participated and Showcased its Technologies during the occasion of I-connect Event organized by ILS, bhubaneswar

ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture (ICAR-CIWA), Bhubaneswar participated and put up an Exhibition stall to showcase the technologies of ICAR-CIWA during the occasion of I-connect Event organized by Institute of Life Sciences, bhubaneswar under the theme of Agri-Nutri-Biotech on 1st June 2022 at ILS Campus-2, Niladri Vihar, Bhubaneswar. This event was organised as part of the“Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” focused on "Secondary agriculture and Value addition”. It was inaugurated by Shri. Ashok Chandra Panda, Hon'ble Minister, Science & Technology, Govt. of Odisha. The Minister highlighted several important initiatives being undertaken by the State Science and Technology Department in the fields of research, translation, institutional support as well as promotion of entrepreneurship. Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar Director, Dr Ajay Parida spoke about the progress made in agriculture in last 75 years and stressed that a partnership with private sectors is essential for making a significant contribution to agriculture. The other speakers included Dr Padmini Swain, Director, NRRI; Dr Kamalesh Mishra, president Seafood Exporters Association of India, Odisha Region; Dr Sanat Mishra, Senior Scientist & Director, ArgoConsultancy Support Services, OUAT; Ashit Mahapatra, MD & CEO, Agri-Link Food Processing; and Sriram Panda, MD, MITS Mega Food Park. The ICAR-CIWA exhibition pavilion was put up with the display of posters, specimens, models and literature on gender-friendly technologies, Value added products etc. A team of Mr. Shaji. A, Mrs. Geeta Sha, Ms. Monalisha Pati, Shri Rabi Shankar Panda, Shri Bigyan Mihir Rout form ICAR-CIWA made the arrangements for showcasing the technologies in the Event.
