ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar observed the Vigilance Awareness Week-2022

As per the instruction of Central Vigilance Commission and Indian Council of Agriculture and Research, New Delhi, ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar observed the Vigilance Awareness Week-2022 from October 31st to 6th November, 2022 with a theme of 'Corruption free India for a Developed Nation' (भ्रष्टाचार मुक्त भारत- विकसित भारत). Dr. Sabita Mishra, I/C Director, ICAR–CIWA administered the vigilance pledge to all the staff of the Institute and explained importance of the event on 31.10.2022. For more publicity and sensitization among citizens, messages on Vigilance Awareness Week-2022 were transmitted through Whatsapp, ICAR CIWA Facebook and Twitter. On 01.11.2022, organized a Gram Shabha and Human Chain among farmwomen/ farmers in Jaguleipadar village of Kanas block under Puri district. The event offered a platform for village school students for participating in the Debate competition. A Quiz competition was organized for the staff of the Institute as well as their family members on 2nd November, 2022. The program also comprised of a Seminar Talk on 3rd November, 2022 on “Importance of Preventive Vigilance to Make India Corruption Free” which was delivered by Mr. Prabhat Kumar Nayak, Finance & Accounts Officer of ICAR-CIWA. For public awareness, all the employees performed Walkathon on the street with commanding slogans against corruption. The handout on the theme was shared with staff members. On 7th November, 2022, the valedictory function was conducted and the event was graced by Dr. Anil Kumar, Director, ICAR–CIWA. During his Presidential address, he signified the magnitude of integrity of an individual for growth of a nation and eradication of corruption. The winners of the competition were awarded certificates during the celebration. The Vigilance Awareness Week-2022 was coordinated by Dr. Sabita Mishra, Principal Scientist and Vigilance Officer of ICAR-CIWA with the Team Dr. Neetish Kumar, Mrs Bishnupriya Moharana and Shri B. C. Behera.
