श्री कैलाश चौधरी, माननीय केंद्रीय कृषि और किसान कल्याण राज्य मंत्री ने समीक्षा बैठक के लिए 15 मई 2023 को भा.कृ.अनु.प.-केंद्रीय कृषिरत महिला संस्थान, भुवनेश्वर का दौरा किया। कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत डॉ. मृदुला देवी, निदेशक, भा.कृ.अनु.प.-केंद्रीय कृषिरत महिला संस्थान द्वारा मंत्री महोदय समेत सभी आमंत्रित अतिथियों का स्वागत कर किया गया। अपने स्वागत सम्बोधन में उन्होंने अनुसंधान, प्रशिक्षण और विस्तार गतिविधियों के माध्यम से कृषक महिलाओं के सशक्तिकरण में संस्थान द्वारा निभाई गई भूमिका को रेखांकित किया। सम्मानित अतिथि के रूप में, डॉ. बिमलेश मान, एडीजी (ईपी एंड एचएस), भा.कृ.अनु.प. ने संस्थान की विशिष्टता और महत्व के बारे मे प्रकाश डाला और बताया की कृषिरत महिलाओं को सशक्त बनाने में देश में यह एकमात्र अनूठा संस्थान है। इसके अलावा उन्होंने अनुसंधान और विकासात्मक पहलों के माध्यम से संस्थान के प्रयासों की अत्यधिक सराहना और उनकी प्रशंसा की। माननीय मंत्री श्री कैलाश चौधरी ने मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में इस अवसर की शोभा बढ़ाई और संस्थान में कृषक महिलाओं की उपस्थिति पर प्रसन्नता व्यक्त की। अपने सम्बोधन में, उन्होंने विभिन्न योजनाओं के माध्यम से सरकारी सुविधाओं का लाभ उठाने के लिए कृषक महिलाओं को स्वयं सहायता समूह/एफपीओ बनाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया। उन्होंने केंद्रीय कृषिरत महिला संस्थान को महिला उद्यमिता के विकास और बेहतर बाजार सुविधाओं के लिए महिला एफपीओ और उद्योगों को शामिल करते हुए एक बड़ा मेला आयोजित करने का भी सुझाव दिया। इसके अलावा, उन्होंने फसल के साथ-साथ पशुधन क्षेत्रों में कृषि-उद्यम के उन्नयन के लिए महिलाओं की भागेदारी की सुनिश्चित करने के उपायों को भी साझा किया। इस अवसर पर महिला एसएचजी/एफपीओ की विभिन्न गतिविधियों को प्रदर्शित करने की भी व्यवस्था की गई, जिसकी मुख्य अतिथि ने खूब सराहना की। उन्होंने संस्थान की गतिविधियों के माध्यम से संस्थान के कर्मचारियों, कृषिक महिलाओं, महिला उद्यमियों, स्वयं सहायता समूह के सदस्यों और कृषि के क्षेत्र में उभरे एफपीओ सदस्यों के साथ बातचीत की। इस समारोह में लगभग 250 प्रतिभागियों ने भाग लिया।

Shri Kailash Choudhary Ji, Hon'ble Union Minister of States for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare visited ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar on 15th May, 2023 for a Review Meeting. At the outset, Dr. Mridula Devi, Director, ICAR-CIWA welcomed the Minister and all the invited delegates. In her welcome address, she narrated the role played by ICAR-CIWA in the empowerment of farm women through its research, training and extension activities. As the Guest of Honour, Dr Bimlesh Mann, ADG (EP&HS), ICAR highlighted the uniqueness and importance of the institute in the country in empowerment of farm women. Further, she highly appreciated the efforts of the institute through research and developmental initiatives for gender mainstreaming and women empowerment. The Hon'ble Minister Shri Kailash Choudhary Ji graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and expressed his happiness to interact with the farm women groups at ICAR-CIWA. In his speech, he encouraged the farm women to formulate SHGs/FPOs and also motivate other women to join the existing SHGs to take up the agri-business and avail the benefits through various government schemes and programmes. He also suggested ICAR-CIWA to organize a MEGA fair involving women FPOs, Industries and other stakeholder for development of women entrepreneurship and enhancing the business and marketing opportunities. In addition, he highlighted the magnitude of leisure time utilization by women towards the upgradation of agri-enterprise in crops as well as the livestock sectors. On this occasion, an arrangement was also made to showcase various activities of Women Self Help Groups / FPOs which was extremely appreciated by the Hon'ble Minister. He interacted with the staff of the institute, farm women, women entrepreneurs, SHG members and FPO members immersed in the field of agriculture through the institute activity. About 250 participants participated in this auspicious function.
