An awareness campaign on Nutri-sensitive Agriculture program was organized on 6th December 2023 at Balarampurgarh of Satyabadi Block of Puri District on the occasion of Women in Agriculture Day. It was conducted in the collaboration of the Institutional Human Rights Community (IHRCI). ICAR-Central Institute of Women in Agriculture (CIWA) has organized this program to provide meaningful support to farmwomen. Special guest, namely Mrs Radharani Das, CDPO graced the occasion. IHRCI honoured guests Mrs Sandhyarani Mohanty, Sri Pabitra Parida, and Sri Arjuna Behera. Dr Jyoti Nayak, Pr Scientist stressed upon the need for development of women leadership and its importance for empowering women in agriculture during the programme. The distinguished guests imparted knowledge to all women farmers about how to excel in agriculture and shared insights on how they can effectively manage their work in the coming days. As part of CIWA's initiative, various types of seeds were distributed to all women farmers on the day. A number of women and child artists were felicitated and recognized during the programme. More than 150 farmwomen participated in the programme. Dr. Jyoti Nayak, Ms. Geeta Saha, and Er. Subrat Kumar Das ICAR-CIWA Co-ordinated this programme.
