ICAR-CIWA celebrated the National Science Day 2024

ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar organized the National Science Day-2024 at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya 2, CRPF Bhubaneswar. On this occasion, the school children were highlighted about the importance of the day and were provided lectures on ‘Considering Agricultural Sciences as a choicest career option’. The school children were enlightened about the National Science day’s theme ‘Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat’ which embodies the essence of self-reliance and technological advancement in India. In the pursuit of progress and development, the focus on indigenous technologies becomes pivotal, not only for economic growth but also for fostering innovation and sustainability. The children were motivated for emphasizing the importance of developing a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in India by leveraging indigenous technologies and emerge as entrepreneurs to create product and services that cater to local demands while also competing in the global market. During the celebration, various other topics were discussed, including pressing global and national scientific concerns such as climate change, sustainable development, nutrition security, and the digitization of agriculture. Overall the celebration encouraged scientific deliberations and discussions. The overarching goal was to inspire young minds to pursue careers in the field of science, fostering enthusiasm and motivation for scientific inquiry and discovery.
