ICAR- Central Institute for Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar organized a demonstration pogramme on various small tools used in Animal Husbandry sector on 2nd March 2024 at Srirampur, Balipatna, Khordha, Odisha, under SCSP programme. The necessities of small tools in Animal husbandry and agricultural sector among farm women were discussed. The farm women were advised to follow hygienic practices of livestock product production and activities of organizing SCSP pogramme in which various women friendly technologies and small tools/implements were demonstrated and distributed to the SC farm women. During the interaction, various issues and approaches along with effective implementation of schemes in Animal husbandry sector were discussed for “Gender Mainstreaming through Govt. schemes in Animal Husbandry sector for empowering farm women”. About 65 farmwomen actively participated in the training pogramme. During the pogramme, small tools and items like Tarpaulin sheet, Milk cane, Battery Sprayer, Sickle, Vermibed, wheel barrow, Belcha, Steel Bucket, Metal storage bin, Goat feed, Mineral mixture have been distributed among SC Farm women in presence of Mrs Kabita Bhoi, Sarapancha, Mrs. Jhilli Bhoi, Nominee and Mrs Kumudini Swain, President of Maheera (FPO), Srirampur. The pogramme was coordinated by Dr. B. Sahoo and Dr D.N.Sarangi, ICAR-CIWA.
