| The 20th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Scheme has been released on 2nd August, 2025 at Varanasi by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. In this regard, the Live Webcast Programme was organized by ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar at Sashakti Auditorium, Technology Block in which about 250 various stakeholders viz., farm women, farmers, line department personnel, students and staff of the Institute participated in the programme. |
| The participating women farmers were from four villages of three districts-Bhadrak, Khordha and Puri. The program commenced at 10:00 AM, with the Farmwomen-Scientists Interface focusing on various issues related to women farmers like government schemes, drudgery, women friendly technologies, value addition for enhanced income, etc. After the interface, the webcast programme of Hon’ble Prime Minister was organised from 11.00-12.00 PM. After the webcast programme, the women farmers were given time to share their experience and other issues/challenges they face in their on and off farm activities. A drone demonstration was also organized for exposure of women farmers to the modern technologies in trend and how it can be easily operated by the women with training. Awareness about various Central Government Schemes like PM-Kisan Scheme, MKSP, ATMA among others were shared with the participants. Participants also visited the Museum dedicated and designed to showcase various technologies for women in agriculture for sensitization among the participants. The highlight of the programme was creation of Awareness, Acceptability, and Appreciation (3A’s) about Women Centric Schemes of Central Government. |
