| ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar organised a three day training programme on “Vermicompost production for chemical-free homestead farming by women farmers” under SCSP from 8th -10th September 2026 at Potapada village of Satybadi Block, Puri district. |
| During the programme 30 women farmers from SC community were sensitized about the importance of vermin-compost in the chemical free homestead farming. Demonstration of production of vermin-compost by using the vermin-bed was conducted. Women farmers were made aware about the livelihood generation and economic benefit through vermicompost production. The vermicompost commercial production was also explained to take it as an enterprise. |
| The programme was attended and graced by the presence of Mr. Solesh Kumar Das (Block Technology Manager, ATMA, Satyabadi Block) , Mrs Babita Parida, Mrs Sabita Sahoo and Mrs Prasanti Mishra (Directors of Bakulabana FPC Ltd.), Mr. Madhab Chandra Pradhan (President, Live and Let Live), Mr. Artatrana Mallick (Former SI of schools Satyabadi, Block) . |
