Participation of Dr. S. K. Srivastava, Director, ICAR-CIWA appreciated during State Consultative Workshop

State Consultative Workshop on ‘Climate Smart Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture - A Pathway to Nutrition Security in Odisha’ was organized at Hotel Mayfair Lagoon, Bhubaneswar on 16th January 2019 to create a platform for deliberation on pertinent issues of malnutrition and ever increasing impacts of weather extremes on agriculture as pursued by small and marginal farmers in the state and further leading to impact on nutrition security at house hold level. The workshop was organised by CARE India with the collaboration of Technical Assistance and Research for Indian Nutrition and Agriculture (TARINA) and Tata Cornell Initiative on Nutrition in Agriculture (TCI), supported by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Dr. Saurabh Garg, IAS, Principal Secretary, Agriculture & FE, Govt. of Odisha graced the workshop as Chief Guest. Dr. S. K. Srivastava, Director, ICAR-CIWA participated as a Panelist at the workshop. Organizers issued an appreciation note on 18.01.2019 & communicated to the Director, ICAR-CIWA by email. They have also expressed interest to collaborate with ICAR-CIWA for achieving the goal of reducing malnutrition. Dr. Jyoti Nayak, Principal Scientist, ICAR-CIWA also participated in the workshop
