ICAR-CIWA Celebrated Constitution Day And Citizens’ Duties Campaign

ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture observed the Constitution Day & Citizen’s Duties Campaign on 26th November 2019. The programme was attended by the scientific, technical, administrative, supporting staff, RA’s, SRF’s and contractual staff of the institute. The programme started with the invocation of ICAR song. The Director of the institute, Dr S.K Srivastava addressed the staff of ICAR-CIWA and reiterated the importance of the day and the need for awareness on citizens’ duties. During his address, the Director asked the scientific staff of the institute to spread the awareness on Citizens duties in the villages adopted for Mera Gaon Mera Gaurav programme, Research projects, SC SP scheme etc. The Preamble to the Constitution of India was read out by the Director at 11.00 a.m which was recited by all the participants. Flyers regarding Constitution day and fundamental duties were also distributed to the partcipants. The programme concluded with the National Anthem. A rally including all the staff, focused on the Citizens’ Duties, was organised on the occasion. A video clipping of the rally was also made. The programme was co-ordinated by Dr Tanuja S, Scientist & Nodal officer, Constitution Day and Citizens’ Duties assisted by Shri B.C.Sahu, Technical Officer and Shri Atul Chetan Hemrom, Senior Technical Assistant.
