As part of the 'Swachhta Pakhwada' campaign being observed during 16-31 December, 2019, the inaugural programme was celebrated at ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture (ICAR-CIWA), Bhubaneswar on 16th December, 2019. The celebration started with inaugural address by Dr. S. K. Srivastava, Director, ICAR-CIWA, and stock taking and briefing of the activities to be organized during the Swachhta Pakhwada. It was followed by Swachhta pledge taken by all the staff and formation of human chain with placards highlighting clean environment. A rally for creating awareness about Swachh Bharat and to curb the use of single use plastics was also organized. Tree planting drive was also carried out in the Institute's premises. The banner highlighting the swachhta was also displayed in prominent places.
