ICAR-CIWA, participated in 3 days long International conference Agrivision 2022, at Ravenshaw university, Cuttack from 6th to 8th March 2022.

ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture participated in three days long International conference on “Agriculture for Sustainable Future”, Agrivision 2022 from 6th to 8th March, 2022 by putting an exhibition stall. The exhibition stall was visited by many dignitaries namely Dr. Jayakrishna Jena, DDG Fishery, ICAR;Dr. Padmini Swain, Director NRRI; Vice chancellor Ravenshaw University, many professors, NGOs, Entrepreneurs and about 500 college students. The banners and miniature models of women friendly tools and machineries highlighting different activities and works undertaken by ICAR-CIWA were explained to all dignitaries and students. Literatures in the form of Leaflets and folders on capacity building of farm women and activities of ICAR-CIWA were distributed among interested participants and students. It was more of an eye opener for students specifically, that through the exhibition they were introduced to the concept of gender, equity and equality specifically towards the women farmers of the country. ICAR-CIWA was represented by Dr. Arpita Mohapatra, Mrs Tapaswini Sahoo and Sri Atul Chetan Hemrom.
