Technical Talk on ‘Methodologies for Need Assessment in Skill Development Projects’

A technical talk on ‘Methodologies for need assessment in skill development projects’ was organized by the Institute Technology Management Unit (ITMU) at this Directorate on 30th January, 2015. Prof. (Dr.) Amita D. Pandya, Faculty of Family and Community Sciences from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, and an expert on skill assessment acted as a Resource Person, and enriched the knowledge of the participants on various research methods and tools that can be used for need assessment in formulating skill development projects. The talk was followed by a participatory workshop, in which the participants divided into small groups and developed tools pertaining to need assessment for gender mainstreaming in their respective area of expertise. The programme was Presided Over by Dr. Neelam Grewal, Director, ICAR-DRWA. A total of 20 participants, both Scientific and Technical staff of the Directorate participated in the programme.
