A Review Meeting on AICRP on Home Science and EFC approved ICAR-CIWA Collaborative, Outreach & Flagship projects and GAP was held at NASC Complex, New Delhi on 19th & 20th February, 2016 to review the research achievement accomplished from inception, ongoing and preparation of action plan for ongoing project during 2016-17. All the Unit Coordinators from each center and Technical Coordinators from each Component and all the PIs of Collaborative, Outreach & Flagship projects and GAP have participated in the meeting. Dr. Narendra Singh Rathore, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Education), ICAR, New Delhi Chaired the sessions. He gave his critical comments; inputs for strengthening all the research projects and motivated all scientists to enhance their visibility at national level. Dr. P.S. Pandey, Assistant Director General (EP&HS), ICAR, New Delhi in his inaugural speech stressed that scientist should focus on theme, action plan, output & outcome of the research work. Dr. M. B. Chetti, Assistant Director General (HRM), ICAR, New Delhi advised to give emphasis to Home Science discipline so that the declining trend of students to seek admission in Home Science in SAUs can be enhanced. Dr. G. Venkateshwarlu, Assistant Director General (EQR), ICAR, New Delhi also advised to bring-forth all the work done particularly in AICRP Home Science in such a manner that will be highlighted at national level. The Director of ICAR-CIWA, Dr. Jatinder Kishtwaria in her introductory remarks emphasized that all should come together and work with proper vision & strategy to bring visibility of research work at national level.
